The apples that fell from the tree

The apples that fell from the same tree were supposed to get on like a house on fire, standing shoulder to shoulder. Sadly, this wasn’t the case. Why did Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling choose to wash dirty laundry in public? The 6-page statement that were released by the duo only consisted of allegations with no concrete evidence.

LHY and LWL were simply unhappy over the house and their statement was just a lawyer approved rant.

I can’t help to wonder why Lee Hsein Yang is so different from PM Lee Hsien Loong. PM LHL has been wholeheratedly serving the nation while LHY, self-serving.

PM gave up his passion for Singapore

PM LHL was head and shoulders above his peers in school. He was the Senior Wrangler (ranked 1st in the Math Tripos) at Cambridge and scored 31 aplhas, 12 more alphas than the runner up. PM’s Prof. Béla Bollobás, University of Cambridge in 1994 mentioned this: “He graduated at the top of his class, and he really won by a street. The one who came second has now become a world-class mathematician, but it was clear to everyone at the time who was the better one.”

Why did someone of such talents did not proceed further in the field of mathematics? PM chose to give his all for Singapore and often put his health on the line. When PM was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February 2015, he only took a week of medical leave. PM also collpased during NDR 2016 because he chose to deliver long speeches in different languages.

No smoke without fire

Comparing this to his brother Lee Hsien Yang, there were many rumours about LHY on his womanising ways and intentions to leave Singapore. Apparently, he had an affiar with a lady staff during his stint at Singtel and there was a mistress in Australia. LHY also wanted to leave Singapore but the late Lee Kuan Yew prevented him from doing so.

Now, Lee Hsien Yang is undoing everything what his father stood for. He is ripping PM Lee Hsien Loong into pieces to make himself whole.
